I do not recommend Fishing Bridge, you will be disappointed with your stay in YNP. There are also many first come first served campgrounds throughout the park that do not take reservations. These campgrounds are much smaller that the ones that take reservations. It will all depend on your RV length and set-up. Most of the CG's do not have hook-ups of any kind. The ones that you can make reservations are the exception as as stated on other posts, hook-ups there are limited. Generators are not allowed to be run in most if not all of the CG's. We stay at Pebble Creek in the northeast corner to see the animals of Lamar and at Norris by the geyser basin (and animals). If you want to email me, I can send some pictures and provide further information (ranchwoo@bellsouth.net). July is one of the busiest months of the year and the park will be crowded.
Have you thought about renting a car while you are in the park? It will make getting through the traffic much easier.
