You have to house the photo you want to post on a server. There are lots of free hosting sites, such as Flickr, Picasa, PhotoBucket... The one I use is Flickr, so I can tell you the steps.
Save your photo as a .jpg;
Size it something like 650 pixels on the shortest side, and save it in medium quality to as sure the photo will load quickly on people's monitors;
Upload your .jpg photo to your Flickr page;
Click on it and note the options in small lettering that become visible directly above the photo;
Click on "all sizes";
The largest size opens;
Scroll down below the open photo;
Go to the second field that says, "Grab the URL";
Copy the URL from the field;
Paste it into the "Optional Image URL:" field below the comments window on this page;
Be sure there are no leading or trailing spaces, and that the entire URL copies into the field;
Press Submit :-)
