We are going to Yellowstone in October which limits our Accommodation choices
slightly.
We are tossing up between
- the Old Faithful Inn staying in a High Range room [2Q with bathroom]
OR
- The Western Cabins snow lodge
OR
West Entrance accommodation - a room in the lodge part of Three Bear Lodge.
I prefer option 1 or 2.
My concern about OFI is noise. So many comments say that you can hear every
movement by every neighbour. Plumbing flushing can also be heard etc. In otherwords
all the 'charm' of an old building is clearly evident and getting a good night's sleep is
difficult.
Now we are going at a quieter time so maybe it wouldn't be as bad?
With the Cabins you might be a bit quieter...but I imagine you could still get sound
transmission by the other cabins in the group of 4. And there is no chance of a view.
I'm also concerned about muddy paths. Do you drive to next to the cabin or how does
the parking work?
Any advice would be appreciated!!!
