We recently traveled through the southern part of Yellowstone but didn't want to stay in Yellowstone due to how busy it gets. We went south to Dubois, WY hich is rougly an hour south of Yellowstone. We stayed at a place called The Longhorn Ranch Motel and RV park, it's right on the Winder River. The camping sites are spacious and it's just an awesome place to stay and it's a great base camp. So if anyone wants to be away from the park but still have a day of it this is the place for you. Should you get the chance, a good place to eat is the Cowboy Cafe on main street in Dubois.
